Places to Meet & Greet

The Student Centre

Student Centre a three-storey building is one of the busiest place on campus, which is the home to numerous clubs and organizations as well as a many of fast-food vendors, art gallery, the Underground restaurant and nightclub and many alcoves to study and hang around with friends.

Central Square
Central Square justifies its name, as it is located at the crossroads of key campus locations like the Ross Building, Scott Library and the Curtis Lecture Halls. Campus Square is the home to the Scott Religious Centre. Various groups in the area known as "Bear Pit" set up exhibits. There are places like a courtyard and a food court where students can be seen all through the year.

Stong Pond
Stong pond is a nice, quite place right in the center of huge grassy field, which is why it is one of the prettiest places on campus and a favorite of students too. You can see them relaxing, having lunch or may be enjoying out in the sun.

York Commons

York commons is one the best places around to sit and have lunch, especially in warm weather. It is located opposite to Vari Hall.

The Vanier

hill Vanier Hill is the perfect spot to for people watching and sun-tanning. It is located on the hill behind Vanier College.

The Tait McKenzie Building
This spot is more enjoyed by people who are into sports or are athletes in their own regards. One can chill out and have a nice healthy snack and chat about their favorite game in the Locker-room Cafe.

The Historic Manor (Glendon)

This is a wonderful informal place for students to come and meet their friends or make new friends and relax at the Café de la Terrasse, which is commonly know as the pub. The only problem is that the high-class exterior of the Glendon Hall covers it. Also, when the weather is good you can hang around at the terrace and look over the beautiful and lush green Don River valley.

York Hall (Glendon)

York Hall, in the main Glendon Building is the hub for all campus activities. Students come here to spend time in the sun and enjoy their food or live concerts and other special events. Right across the hall there is a Salon Garigue, which is a lounge very famous among students who go there to study and also to relax.
