Bookstore, Libraries and Computing services

Here at York's bookstore you get everything from textbooks to used books, from music to supplies & stationery and more! You can check out our website to get and insight view about the upcoming books and special author events.

York has five libraries that contain almost six million items like books, print periodicals, theses, archival material, maps, films and music CDs. There are more than 2.5 million books and also, we have subscribed to 13,000 electronic journals.

Every year, there are more than 150,000 in-person reference questions that are answered. We also conduct guest lectures, library workshops and research seminars which is attended by almost 16,000 students. Also, we provide access to 350 Internet workstations throughout the libraries. We always look to improve our holdings, we collect original papers and archival material to help and support research on Canadian women, writers, the arts, social issues and multiculturalism.
